This one's for all the women who have...

→ irregular cycles

→ missing period

→ no BBT rise in your Luteal Phase

→ haven't gotten their cycle back after loss after a few months

These are all tell-tale signs you're not ovulating. And allll of your hormones influence and center around ovulation. So if you're also struggling with symptoms like fatigue, anxiety/depression, PMS, difficulty conceiving, or cramping, it's not a surprise.

no ovulation = no progesterone = symptoms

And remember, progesterone is the key hormone for fertility, healthy pregnancy, a calm mind, preventing PMS, rational thinking, quality sleep, youthfulness, and much more

But WHY aren't you ovulating? I've said it before and I'll say it again- ovulation is the pinnacle of your cycle and requires SAFETY. If your body doesn't feel safe, it will choose survival mode over creation. So then the question becomes, Why does your body not feel safe?

Well, this is where there's a lot of nuance. This is why when I work with women 1-on-1, I assess all aspects of their life, including nutrition, fitness, stress, hormonal history, temperature, mood, etc.

You've often heard, "listen to your body," but have you ever thought about what you're communication TO your body? A few common ways you may be unintentionally communicating stress to your body:

Under eating → famine → preserve resources for your own survival

Blue light (esp. after dark) → it's daytime → produce extra cortisol

High stress → deplete nutrients faster → not enough resources to ovulate

Recent loss → depleted and afraid → gives you time to replenish and recover

(Now there's extra nuance when it comes to navigating cycles after loss, which could be its own separate deep-dive article.) But in short, you may be telling your body to stay in survival mode without realizing it. If you had to choose, which list of words feels more resonant for you right now?

A) stressed, go-go-go, anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted

B) soft, flexible, abundant, capable, resourced, nourished, ease

If you're in group A, your body is begging you for some love and attention. It needs you to create that safety.

START HERE

When I say you need to create that sense of safety for your body, I don't mean more rigid planning, supplements, or protocols- I mean stripping away all that excess and starting at the beginning: simple, real nourishment, gentle movement, getting in sync with the sun, and finding what's fulfilling to you.

You've got to reset. And that starts with checking in on your period.

That's why I created the Period Checklist- so you can figure out what red flags you need to pay attention to with a quick 2-minute checklist. And as a bonus, I've added a couple new pages that explain what you can do to give your body the support it needs to feel safe enough to ovulate again.

Oh, and you know it's FREE, right?

The Period Checklist is the simplest "start here" to have easy, regular cycles again for every woman. Even if you're recovering from loss, even if you have PCOS, and even if you feel like you've tried it all.

I promise you'll find at least one simple thing that you can do to help your body ovulate again. You've got this.
